SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master (SASM)
This Training is taught over two days in-person and three days remote.
In this 2-day advanced SAFe® training, Scrum Masters are prepared for their leadership role in agile teams of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) and learn which important tools and practices can be used to ensure effective value creation.
The training teaches what influence product managers, product owners, solution managers and epic owners have on value creation in the SAFe organization. Participants receive a detailed overview of specific measures, tools and mechanisms that are used in the company to generate the most effective value creation possible. They will be empowered to write epics, capabilities, features and user stories in the context of SAFe and gain a solid foundation to manage backlogs and programmes in a Lean-Agile organization.

Requirements:
As a practicing scrum master in a SAFe® organization, you’ve got the tactical skills to coach Agile teams in delivering business value. Build on that strong foundation in the SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master course and discover how to facilitate success for Agile teams, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), and the organization. And get the guidance and tools you need to work effectively in remote environments with distributed teams.
However, having one or more of the following certifications is highly recommended for those who intend to take the SAFe® 5 Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) certification exam:
- SAFe® 5 Scrum Master (SSM) certification
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification

How does the certification take place?
Certification takes place after the training and successful completion of the online examination.
How do I register for the online exam?
The respective email address of the course participant is required for registration for the online examination. This will be requested with the list of participants before the training. Activation or admission to the examination usually takes place on the last day of the training.
How do I get my access data to the SAFe® Community Platform?
Participants will receive their access data to the SAFe® Community Platform of Scaled Agile, Inc. based in Boulder (USA) and to the online examination by email.
When do I have to have completed my online exam?
Participants can take the online certification exam within 30 days.
Is participation in the examination compulsory?
Participation is optional.
How do I get my certificate after a successful exam?
After passing the exam, the certificate is made available for download in the participant's personal user profile.
